With the new Junior season kicking off on Saturday the 5th May Young and District Soccer Club encourages all players, parents, spectators, officials and administrators to abide by their Codes of Behaviour as referred to in our Competition Rules. The Codes of Behaviour provide the basis for fair play for young people and encourage fun, friendly and safe environments. The Australian Sports Commission has developed the Codes of Behaviour to remind and encourage all Australians involved in junior sport to support and nurture all our young players. Conducting yourself in appropriate ways at all times will, quite simply, give you greater enjoyment, as well as everyone else, particularly the kids.

The Club is a registered employer with NSW Department of Sport & Recreation. NSW Law requires all people voluntarily involved with children (18 or younger) to complete a Volunteer/Student Declaration form and provide confirmation of ID to the Club’s Member Protection & Information Officer (position vacant).

The Young Lions Soccer Club asks that any parent or guardian, who does NOT want their child’s photo taken or published, to please let us know as soon as possible.

We all appreciate the efforts of all coaches who volunteer to bring on a team through the season, and will provide advice at the start of the season and assistance throughout. Parents, be appreciative of your child’s coach’s efforts and consider them by being prompt when collecting your child from trainings and games.

Please acknowledge the hours of constant work that Committee members donate just to get this all organised and keep the World Game running smoothly, for all our local budding Matildas and Socceroos.

We have a shortage of referees at this stage so if anyone is keen to help out, please let us know.

See you out on Gus Smith Oval soon
